First Lady of #Syria Asma al-Assad visits one of the reactivated rural development centers in Tartous which serves 33 surrounding villages with a population of 34,000, August 7, 2017.

The center, according to Sarah Abed,  is currently working on capacity building and training, where it carries out vocational training courses for its employees on the character of carpet, sewing, knitting, mushroom cultivation, dairy production and cheese. The center sustains more than two thousand temporary workers, heads of households, trainers and graduates of training courses. This is one of 3 rural development centers that were re-activated in 2017, along with Beit Yashut and Yabrud centers, as well as 15 rural industry units in the villages of #Damascus, #Hama, #Lattakia and #Tartous.
