His Excellency President Bashar Al-Assad received Wednesday evening, November 26, 2008, a telephone call from Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Turkey.

President Al-Assad and Premier Erdogan voiced during the call their deep concern over the suffering of the Palestinian People in Gaza Strip living in a human catastrophe caused by the imposed siege.

H. E. Al-Assad and Mr. Erdogan underlined the necessity for international efforts rallying as to break the blockade, and agreed on the work for sending urgent assistance to the Palestinian People in Gaza Strip.
