President Assad/ Phone Calls

His Excellency President Bashar Assad received here Friday a phone call from his US counterpart, George W. Bush on the region condition and the prospects of the realization of a just and comprehensive peace on the basis of related UN Security Council resolutions and Madrid Terms of Reference.

 President Bush reiterated the US Administration preparedness to contribute every possible efforts as to accomplish the said objective. President Assad underlined the necessity for tackling the region conditions objectively, and evenhandedly with a direct knowledge of the problems as to find solutions for. Bilateral relations and ways of improving and boosting them in the interest of the region security and stability were touched upon too.
